Project/ Star Jump
This project was my term 2 intro to cinema 4d final. I am a huge star wars fan and anyone who has been around me for any amount of time knows this. We were tasked with creating a 5 to 10 second animation using compositing techniques that we had learned in the class. I decided I was going to base mine off of Star Wars , I went online and I searched for 3d models of star wars ships and I managed to find the star destroyer that I ended up using. When I initially got the model there was some thing's wrong with it, certain pieces were out of place and I had to spend more time than I would have liked fixing up the model so that I could be ready. With that done animation was fairly simple no problems there, then the next biggest part came which was compositing, at this point in the project I'd probably only been using cinema 4d for about a month, when I initially brought the star destroyer into after effects to composite it on the background there were some issues with the background being seen through the star destroyer even though I had exported a mask from cinema 4d to prevent such thing. Some frustrating hours later we come with the final product which I am very happy with and believe it's one of my strongest pieces to come out of digital design in terms of look.
